Kids Choice Awards

Life is full of choices. Most of the time, there are two options; the right choice and the wrong choice.

The Bible says in Deuteronomy 30:19 that God has given us a choice between life and death, blessings or curses. I think it it obvious which choice we would make in those two senarios.

However, many times kids are faced with choices that aren't so easy.

Overcomers: Week 1

Last Sunday, we began our new series Overcomers: a look at the life of Joshua!
Week 1: Overcomers are not afraid.
Bible Story: Joshua Takes the Lead- Joshua 1:1-18
Memory Verse: 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

MEXICO!

One of our KIDFEST! kids, Summer Paisley, along with several others returned from their missions trip to Mexico last week. We have heard amazing stories of God working on the lives of not only the people they went to serve, but on the workers themselves.

Our team told of stories of ministering to orphans and said that these children know that they do not have to feel like orphans because they are all in the family of God and are His children. How awesome!

We also have heard of great stories of divine opportunities that the Lord allowed the team to have as they were in Mexico. We give God praise for it all!

Summer said about her trip, "I'm so happy that God picked me to go to Mexico."

Family Action Agents Weekend!

Hey Parents!
No one has the potential to influence a child or student than a parent. What if church leaders AND parents synchronized their efforts to fuel wonder, discovery, and passion to the next generation?
By combining the critical influences of the light of the church and the love of the family, we can show a generation who God is more effectively than EITHER of us could do alone.
God had ordained YOU [the parent] to be the spiritual leader of your children. Family Action Agents Weekend is designed to get families together and encourage parents by showing them they CAN BE that spiritual leader.
It is an event in which you need to be inviting your neighbors and friends to. It is a friendly, warm, fun environment that will excite new families and show that that GOD IS NOT A BORING GOD, but a GREAT GOD who wants us to draw close to Him. DON'T MISS OUT!

The EXTRA FUN Part!
Families will be competing for a fantastic prize!
The point allocations for Family Action Agents are:

* Family Poster- 4000 points- make a cool Family Action Agents Poster together and bring it to church this Wednesday, May 11.
* Family Poster Posted- 5000 points- take approved poster and hang it in the community.
* Family Attendance- 4000 points per night- bring the whole crew [all that live at home]. NOTE: Partial family attendance- 2000 points per night.
* Family Bringing a New Family- 8000 points- bring a whole new family for tons of points.
* Bring One Person- 1000 points- bring a friend along with you.
* Wacky Hat Friday- 3000 points- have the whole family wear wacky hats on our first night.

JULY 11-15: 2011 Kids Camp- "KINGDOM ADVENTURES! Keepers of the Cross". This will be a life-changing week surrounded by the Word of God and tons of fun too! The cost is $182.

Each week will take us a little deeper into our understanding of worship and how it relates to
our lives. Come to KIDFEST! Wednesday Nights @ 7 to discover this along with us!!

We are BACK!

We cannot believe the weekend went SO fast! We experienced some amazing times at Winter Breakaway! We learned about compassion, and that we can only be compassionate kids if we have a passion to reach our friends, family, and the world. We realized that we are so blessed and we take so much for granted in our lives, and many around the world have so little, yet are thankful for what they have. We had great times of worship, learning a new song about how nothing is impossible with God. Kids prayed for kids at the alters and some gave their lives to Jesus for the first time! Praise God for a fantastic weekend!

This Friday, March 11, we are going to hit the road for WINTER BREAKAWAY! We are bringing over 50 people to camp for a great weekend!! Please pray for us as we learn about being compassionate and reaching outside of our own world to others in need!

Summer Camp was awesome!

"Summer Camp 2010. A blast, the bomb, tons of fun, etc. We did a lot of fun things, such as the water slide, tubing, and the swimming pool. But my favorite part of camp was the services.

They were packed with games, puppets, worship, a sermon, and at the end of every night, a time to just pray. You could talk to God about anything you want and just listen to what He has to say. It's amazing what he'll say to you if you just take the time to listen.

One night we did a lesson on baptism of the Holy Spirit. The pastor told us to just ask God for it and if it is God's plan, He will give it to you.

I asked God and then I just worshipped Him and I received it!

Camp is awesome! Anyone who gets the chance should totally go!”

The Virtue of the Month is: Peace
Proving that you care more about others than winning an argument.



This month, we will learn:
*The best way to stop a fight is never to start one.
*Making peace doesn't make you weak.
*It's better to let go than to get even.
*Just because you didn't start a fight doesn't mean you can't stop it.

Memory Verse: “So let us do all we can to live in peace. And let us work hard to build each other up.” Romans 14:19, NIrV
Bottom Line: The best way to stop a fight is never to start one.

We are so excited to be at camp! We are expecting a great time of fun, praise, and growing together! It is going to be a great week and we thank the Lord for it!

What in the World Are You Doing? Part 2

The Virtue of the Month is: Service
Lending a hand to help someone else.


We will discuss these questions together:
What in the world are you doing that's more than you have to do?
What in the world are you doing to help someone others won't help?
What in the world are you doing to put others first?
What in the world are you doing that only God knows?

God Time Card Devotions!!

Each week, CLUB 21:16 gives your children a "God Time Card" devotional. These devotionals are designed to be specifically relevant for your children. Digging in further to the bottom line of the lesson taught at CLUB 21:16 during the previous Sunday, it offers them real life applications of God's Word. You can use these as a family devotional over breakfast or dinner or if they want to they can use them for their personal time with God.
